Our Story
So far…
After graduating from the London College of Fashion a few years ago I set out to launch a new English sparkling wine collection inspired by the idea of a collaboration between fine wine and fashion. Having spent the past few years exploring unique and beautiful restaurants across London, I realised just how significant an influence the aesthetic appearance of a restaurant and its food have on taste, with this in mind I wanted to create a bottle as unique and sophisticated in appearance as it is in flavour.
I have been extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with a number of influential winemakers and talented design teams across London and Champagne to create the collection. Thanks to their expertise I truly believe that the Doe Eyed Queen bottles we have released this year fully represent the vision I had from the beginning, which was to create a luxury sparkling wine for those who like to choose their wines and champagnes by selecting the ‘prettiest bottle’ without compromising on the quality or taste of the wine inside the bottle.
Doe Eyed Queen wines will always be vegan, made from grapes grown without the use of herbicides and are some of the first English wines to be produced inside a winery accredited for sustainability. During my time at fashion school I gained a real appreciation for the importance of embracing sustainable practices. For this reason I have focussed from the outset on making sure that the the Doe Eyed Queen sparkling wines inside the bottle are made just as beautifully and intricately as the bottle appears on the outside, with the grapes having been carefully sourced from Hundred Hills a boutique English vineyard and winery in Oxfordshire. Here our precision in winemaking has been followed at every stage, it is this attention to detail that I believe has allowed us to create something really special.
